Stories of Latin America seeks to tell the stories and perspectives of everyday Latin Americans as a way to understand the region's social, political and economic complexities. How do people live and why? What are their successes, failures, challenges, and desires? What are their life stories? 

Despite the focus on individual Latin American perspectives, everything is filtered through the biases, perspectives and eyes of Chris Juergens, a North American. All story-tellers have their own biases and will include and exclude details consciously and subconsciously depending on who they are and what they believe. 

Chris Juergens is the creator of all content for Stories of Latin America. Chris speaks Spanish and Portuguese and has a strong interest in everything Latin America. An avid traveller, writer, reader, he lives in Seattle with his amazing wife Hyejung. Chris also lived in Korea for four years and speaks Korean.
